Honest Failings, Or Fraudulent Success?

The transcription job I currently have is a unique one in my life.  Now that I’m no longer a plebe at this, I don’t have anyone looking over my shoulder at the work I do.

You’d think I would enjoy the freedom or that, having only worked in my post-radio career where people would look over your shoulder at work, but truth be told, it’s a freedom I don’t want.

I would rather get criticism about my work than not, for some reason.  I’d rather be told what I can do better and process the notion that I might not be good at something as opposed to being told you’re doing well when it serves other people’s purposes.

Isn’t that a little weird?
