It Takes A Village

The one thing that strikes me each year the Summer Olympics is held is what an immense undertaking the whole thing is.

The Rio Games probably won’t be remembered for how smoothly they ran, but this is not easy for any major city in the world. You have to have a lot of things at the ready, like arenas and fields and such. Plus, no matter who technologically advances your city is, you probably have to build stuff to host the Olympics. I guess things have to go wrong to understand how complicated it is when things go right.

Good luck to Tokyo in their Olympic efforts in 2020, and maybe, just maybe, the games come back to America and Los Angeles in 2024? Some of the stars of those Olympic Games are probably still in elementary school right now.
