With a hurricane churning in the southern states of the Atlantic Ocean, and with the ongoing drama that is the 2016 Presidential elections, I didn’t watch a down of football or a pitch of the baseball playoffs over the weekend.
One of the apps on my phone (Yes, I still have an IPhone 4 which I’ve had since 2013) called theScore. You press a few buttons and you get updates when developments take place during the games you want to follow. I find it a bit of a time saver when I don’t want to watch sports, or don’t have time for same.
By the way, who would have thought the Minnesota Vikings would start off 5-0, losing their best quarterback before the season and their best rusher a few weeks back in Adrian Peterson? Or, that the Washington Huskies in college ball would have destroyed the once-mighty Oregon Ducks? Or, that the Blue Jays would beat the top-seeded Texas Rangers in three straight games in their series?
That’s modern technology for you. You don’t have to watch sports to watch sports.
